benOmart – two minds, one pulse
Ben Windhager started making music almost before he could speak. Raised in a world of sound, he first took to the stage as a singer, later explored the guitar, and drums and ultimately found his true voice through keys and synthesizers. His deep understanding of music theory meets a lifelong curiosity for tone, timing, and feeling.
Martin Man, on the other hand, brings an unorthodox and deeply instinctive approach to music. His sonic journey began far from conventional settings – shaped by time spent in tribal regions of Asia, where rhythm, repetition, and sound served more as communal pulse than performance. These early experiences formed a unique musical language that eventually found its expression in the electronic world.
Together, they form benOmart – a project rooted in spontaneity, trust, and shared intuition. Their goal isn’t to repeat or reproduce – it’s to discover. Every performance is a new beginning, shaped entirely in the moment.
Live and fully improvised, benOmart doesn’t follow a script. With a table full of analog synths, drum machines, and the expressive control of Ableton Push, they sculpt evolving soundscapes that are both raw and refined. Beats rise, melodies emerge, textures shift – all in real time.
Their sound can be warm and intimate, or sharp and driving. Sometimes cinematic, sometimes playful. But always human. Always alive.
